We exhibited as the FRC Japan Team booth at the FLL (First LEGO LEAGUE) National Convention held at the Tokyo International Exchange Center in Odaiba on February 16th (Sun). It was a very different tournament from the FRC, and the level of the team was very high. This time, we will report on the situation.
What is FLL
FLL is a tournament with a history that has continued since 1998, which began with the partnership between the NPO FIRST (FRC hosting the FRC) and the Lego company in Denmark. The target is 6-16 years old (1st grade to 1st grade high school), and the matches are played using a field and robot made of Lego blocks.
There are two competitions: robot games that actually use robots to get points by clearing missions, and research by your own team and presentations about robots. Similar to FRC, the theme is 'Submerged'. In robot games, there are games related to ocean research.

For FLL, district qualifiers will be held in each of the four districts (Fukuoka, Osaka, Nagoya, and Tokyo). Only 40 teams who have won the national tournament can participate in the national tournament. The top teams that survived the national tournament will be given the right to participate in the world tournament.
This national tournament was held at the Tokyo International Exchange Center in Odaiba, Tokyo, and booths of each team were set up in the building. I'll let you know what's going on.

↑The robot game

↑ It's done at once in such a large hall. One match is two and a half minutes, and the game is exchanged every five minutes.
FRC Booth
Yabusame Technology exhibited a booth introducing FRC.

At the booth, we explained the FRC and the activities of yabusame. We also interacted with other FLL teams and Japanese FRC teams.
We have a handbill and a poster. We prepared about 60 leaflets, but we were able to distribute them all. There were also some FLL teams who were interested in yabusame.
