Field creation

It's a month and a half until the actual performance, and we'll create a field just like the actual performance so that we can practice with the robot we made.

Create a coral-like stick in the center of the field for hooking balls and cylinders. (The field has been introduced in detail in the previous blog, so please take a look.) From here, I will introduce the process of completion with photos.

(1) Prepare blueprints and procure materials
Create a design document with reference to the official rulebook. If you make a mistake in the dimensions, it will not be completed, so check carefully to make sure there are no mistakes.
I'm going to go to the home center to buy screws and wood.

② Cut wood
Cut the tree using a saw. Work carefully to make the cut surface clean.
If the cut surface has unevenness, use a file to smooth it out.

(3) Secure the wood with screws
Stick the nail with an impact driver. Use a special screw called a wood grain screw to avoid breaking the tree with a nail.
Thick screws do not stick to the tree, so use thin screws.
When fixing the wood vertically, use a tool called Sumikin.
